OUR MISSION

Why We Do What We Do

Our mission is to provide the highest quality, evidence-based pediatric healthcare in a welcoming, unhurried environment — partnering with families to maximize the potential of every child we serve.

Evidence-Based

Following the latest AAP guidelines – no unnecessary tests, no defensive medicine.

Family-Centered

Parents and caregivers are partners in every care decision, not bystanders.

Culturally-Sensitive

Care that respects your background, traditions, and values.

Unhurried

We take the time to listen, explain, and answer questions fully at every visit.

“My goal is simple — to be the pediatrician I would want for my child. Someone who listens, explains clearly, and treats every child as the unique individual they are.”

WHY INDEPENDENT MATTERS

Independent. Community-rooted.

Care & Cure Pediatrics is owned and operated by Dr. Vani — not by a hospital system or larger health network. That independence means decisions about your child’s care are made by the same people who know your family.

It also means lower costs: independent clinics charges avoid facility fees that often inflate the price of outpatient pediatric care — savings that pass directly to families.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept same-day sick visits?

Yes. We offer same-day sick-visit appointments. This is a scheduled appointment, not a walk-in. Call (972) 893-1192. For new patients, please note insurance verification may take time.

What is the cancellation / no-show policy?

Cancellations with less than 24 business hours’ notice incur a $40 fee. This also applies to same-day appointments. Monday appointments must be cancelled by 3 PM the preceding Friday. We send reminders, but families are responsible for tracking their appointments.

Is a well visit different from an office (aka sick) visit?

Yes. A well check (preventive) and an office visit (illness) are distinct. If a new medical concern arises during a well check, Dr. Vani must document and charge for both. As always, your insurance policy dictates the benefits and responsibilities.

Do you do immigration medical exams for adults?

Yes. Dr. Vani is a USCIS-designated Civil Surgeon for all ages. The fee is $475 self-pay (labs and titers not included). We accept cash, debit, and credit cards (3% card fee); no checks. Bring photo ID, printed Form I-693, immunization records, and medication list.

Do you offer medical ear piercing?

Yes, for children 6 months and older, in a sterile clinical setting. Flat fee of $100 for both earlobes. Not covered by insurance, and it requires a separate scheduled appointment — not during a sick or well visit.

Can I use the patient portal for medical questions?

The portal is for brief questions and clarifications only — not clinical decisions, new symptoms, or medication changes. Allow 1–2 business days for a response. Read more here.
