Hearing impairment in childhood has a detrimental impact on global development, particularly in communication and educational performance. Hearing screening for early detection of potential hearing loss is known to improve developmental and language skills. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends yearly hearing screen from age 4 through 6 and every two years from age 8 through 12, and at 15 and 18 years of age as well! At Care & Cure Pediatrics, we offer hearing screening for children 4 years and older at every comprehensive annual well check, and at any other visit if there are concerns about hearing. Based on the findings, we may refer to a specialist.

Vision screening is necessary to identify vision problems. Vision screening is a part of the comprehensive annual well check. At Care & Cure Pediatrics, we offer vision screening for children 4 years and older at every comprehensive annual well check, and at any other visit if there are concerns about vision.
